William Bruno

I’m William, a Product Designer based in Fairfield, CT (NYC metro) with fifteen years of experience. I’ve worked on enterprise platforms, developer tools, design systems, and consumer brand sites for FedEx, CDM Smith, Dogfish Head, Cognex, and Forrester Research.

My work spans visual design, interaction design, UX, and product strategy. Equally comfortable in Figma details and stakeholder rooms.

approach

I work best on problems that need both strategic clarity and craft. That usually means partnering with stakeholders to define scope, then taking it through to shipped, polished product. I care as much about how a thing looks and feels as how it’s structured.

Based on the Metro-North corridor to New York City, I’m open to full-time and contract opportunities across the NYC metro area and remotely.

When I’m not designing, I’m cooking, reading, or walking my dog in the woods.

Design the failure paths. Recovery, permissions, empty states, and unfinished work deserve the same care as the happy path.

Build confidence before asking for commitment. Show people what they can do and how the product works before asking them to sign up.

Work with engineering, and let evidence shape the scope. I build systems alongside the teams that ship them, and use research to challenge the brief when the real problem is bigger.
